Why convert HEIC to JPG?
iPhones save photos as HEIC because the files can be up to half the size of a JPG. The catch is that Windows, older phones and many websites and online forms can't open them without extra software.
PixMochi turns them into regular JPGs that work everywhere. Convert a whole batch or even a folder at once, choose JPG, PNG or WebP, and set the quality. It all runs in your browser, so your photos never leave your device.
Tip: to make your iPhone save JPGs from now on, open Settings → Camera → Formats and choose Most Compatible.

Questions people ask
How do I convert HEIC to JPG?
Drop your HEIC photos into the box at the top of this page, or tap Choose files. Each photo is converted straight away, and you can save them one by one or all together as a ZIP.
What is a HEIC file?
HEIC is the photo format iPhones use to save space. Many Windows apps, websites and forms can't open it, so converting to JPG makes your photos work everywhere.
Why can't I open HEIC files on Windows?
HEIC is Apple's space-saving photo format. Windows needs extra add-ons from the Microsoft Store to show it, and many websites and forms don't accept it at all. Converting to JPG is the quickest fix.
Will the photo lose quality?
JPGs are saved at 92% quality by default, which looks the same as the original to the eye. You can raise it to 100%, or save as PNG to keep every pixel exactly.
Does the JPG keep my location?
No. The new files are made without the hidden location and camera details, so they are safer to share.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens inside your browser on your own device. PixMochi has no server that receives files, so nobody else can see them.
Is it really free?
Yes. No sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit. Donations from kind people keep it running.
Is there a file size limit?
Images can be up to 200 MB and PDFs up to 300 MB. Very large files depend on your device's memory, so on a phone it helps to do a few at a time.
