Photo too big for the form?
Job applications, school and visa forms and many government websites only accept photos under a set size, often 100 KB, 200 KB or 1 MB. A photo straight from a phone is usually several megabytes, so it gets rejected.
Instead of guessing a quality setting, type the size you need or tap a preset. PixMochi tries many quality levels, keeps the sharpest result that fits, and only makes the picture smaller in width and height when the target is very small. Hidden GPS location is removed along the way.
Tip: 100–200 KB is usually enough for ID-style and profile photos. For a full photo you want to email, 1–2 MB keeps it sharp.

Clean. Only the picture is left.
What's hiding in your photos?
Photos from phones usually carry the exact spot they were taken, the time and the phone model. Anyone who gets the original file can read it.

Questions people ask
How do I compress a photo to 100 KB?
Tap the 100 KB button (or type any size you need), then drop your photo in. PixMochi makes the sharpest file it can that is 100 KB or smaller.
Will compressing make my photo blurry?
Mochi tests many quality levels and keeps the sharpest result that fits your size. It only shrinks the picture's dimensions when the target is so small that there is no other way.
Which images can I compress?
JPG, PNG, WebP and iPhone HEIC photos, plus most other images your browser can open. Results are saved as JPG, or as WebP when the picture has a transparent background, unless you choose a format yourself.
Can I compress many photos at once?
Yes. Drop a batch or a whole folder. Every photo gets the same target size, and you can download them all together as one ZIP.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens inside your browser on your own device. PixMochi has no server that receives files, so nobody else can see them.
Is it really free?
Yes. No sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit. Donations from kind people keep it running.
Is there a file size limit?
Images can be up to 200 MB and PDFs up to 300 MB. Very large files depend on your device's memory, so on a phone it helps to do a few at a time.
